Technology
Technology as a subject of learning and also a tool of learning is essential in modern times. Wesley Christian Academy provides students with many opportunities to use technology. Students have access to an iMac computer lab, a class set of iPads, and desktop computers in their classrooms for whenever they need to do research information or create multimedia presentations. Students in Grades 6-8 also have access to individual laptop computers, housed in a portable laptop cart, for in-class work for literacy or any other subject that may require extensive research or writing. WCA also has video cameras to enable students to be effective creators of media, and not merely consumers.
Through the use of technology, students at Wesley develop critical analysis and creative thinking to become purposeful media messengers. Students become well acquainted with the newest technologies and develop the digital literacy to be responsible citizens in the new global community.
