Week 1: Just Walk It! Walk-a-thon Results

At the end of chapel service this morning, Mme. Muresan, Mrs. Kennedy, Miss Phillips and Mr. MacLean announced the results of our first week of fundraising for our Just Walk It!  Walk-a-thon. Together, we raised


Special recognition was given to some of the students who worked hard to raise money on Week 1. They included:

  • DSC04553 (2)Gabriel (Grade 6) who received the most pledges with 30, Kristen (Grade 7) with 18, Kurtis (Grade 5) with 18, Eden (Grade 4) with 11, and Mia (Grade 6) with 11
  • Eden in Grade 4 raised the most money

The class with the highest participation percentage was Grade 7A with 93% participation. The class that raised the most money was Grade 5A with $972. For every $50 dollars raised, the name of the student was put into a ballot box and draws for prizes were made. All prizes were generously donated by parents in the Wesley community. THANK YOU.DSC04546 (1)





DSC04671After the ELC chapel, Mrs. Liu made the same exciting announcements to our youngest students and recognized those who made significant contributions to Week 1’s fundraising effort.  For the ELC, Arianna in the SK1 class had the most pledges (with 12), followed by Quinton in JK/SK3 (with 9 pledges) and Nolan in the SK1 class (with 7 DSC04673pledges). The student who raised the most money was Grace in JK/SK3. The class that raised the most money and had the highest participation was JK/SK3 with 65% participation to raise $485. The ELC students who raised $50 or more also had their name put into a ballot box and prizes were given to those individuals.
