Yesterday, we held our dance troupe auditions for the elementary Christmas production, Three Wise Men and a Baby. Approximately 86 students from Grade 1-8 gathered in the gym after school. Under the direction of Miss Luk, students had to demonstrate three key moves – skipping, galloping and kicking. The senior students in Grade 6-8 went first so that the younger students understood what to do when it was their turn. The teachers were not only looking for the students’ abilities to dance but to listen to instructions and to remain quiet while others were performing.
This afternoon, 74 elementary students will be auditioning for various roles in the cast. Students will have to perform two short monologues from the play by memory in addition to singing a short song acapella.
Teachers will be posting the cast and dance troupe list in the near future as rehearsals start next week!
