Kindergarten Admissions Process

The Kindergarten Program in our Early Learning Centre (ELC) is an engaging program that encourages exploration, social development, and creativity. It is also where students build strong foundation in phonics and numeracy to enable them to read, write, and do basic math (often well above their grade level) by the end of Senior Kindergarten. Spiritual growth is also nurtured through Bible stories, singing praise songs with actions, and a weekly chapel service.

In general, we welcome students who are or will be turning 4 years old by the end of the calendar year into our Junior Kindergarten Program and those who are or will be turning 5 years old before December 31st into our Senior Kindergarten Program. Assessments will be conducted prior to admission. The JK assessment will be informal in nature and conducted by the ELC Director or Supervisor. The SK assessment will involve an oral and written component. No advanced preparation is required. The SK assessment will be conducted by members of the Admissions Team.
