Today’s ELC Chapel Service – October 24, 2025

Our JK1 class led this morning’s ELC chapel service. After the pledges, O Canada and the Lord’s Prayer, Mrs. Dover led the musical worship with some of her students. Familiar songs such as “The B-I-B-L-E”, “Everybody, Everywhere” and “Praise” (by Elevation Worship) were all sung with actions and enthusiasm.

Before Ms. Faris shared today’s Bible story, she asked the students to help her define the word “Faithful”. She later explained that faithfulness is believing in God and knowing He will take care of us. Ms. Faris then informed the students that she would be sharing the story of Daniel and the Lion’s Den. Even though it was a familiar story to many, she kept the students engaged, using colourful slides and having many questions and answers for the audience. She emphasized how strong Daniel’s faith was and his strong desire to obey God, even when it meant disobeying King Darius, and being put in the lion’s den. After the story, she used a video and song about Daniel to recap the message for the students.

To conclude the service, she led the students in prayer, asking God to help us be faithful like Daniel , to rely on His help and to be a good example and shining light to all those around us.
