To celebrate the Toronto Blue Jay’s success in reaching the World Series, students and staff demonstrated their team spirit by wearing Blue Jays apparel (or just blue clothing) today. Gestures of enthusiastic support could be seen throughout the school today. SK students made Blue Jays signs. Grade 1 and 2 students could be heard chanting “Let’s go, Blue Jays, let’s go!” as they changed their shoes and got dressed to go to morning recess. Older students proudly wore their Jays jerseys and caps. Mrs.Mortimer also made delicious vanilla cupcakes for the staff with blue and red sprinkles, served on Blue Jay’s blue plates.
We hope there will be another Blue Jays Day at Wesley soon – to celebrate the World Series 2025 Champions!
