Today’s ELC Chapel – December 19, 2025

This morning, the SK2 class led the ELC chapel service. After the recitation of the pledges, O Canada and the Lord’s prayer, Mrs. Wu and Mrs. Li led a time of musical worship with three songs -” Jingle Bells”, “Saviour of the World” and “Oh, What a Special Night”.

Mrs. Wu’s message centred around various symbols of Christmas. She shared how their class has been making various ornaments for the past month. As she held up various examples such as two different Christmas trees, a wreath with a candle in the middle, a paper angel that could flap it’s wings, and a paper chain, she explained the meaning of each to her curious audience. She even had one student come to the front to put the angel on the top of the Christmas tree. After her presentation, she showed a video which also talked about various Christmas symbols and echoed some of the items that she demonstrated as well as several others.

Next, the entire SK2 class went to the front and sang “Oh What a Glorious Night!”, the song that they had performed for the Christmas concert. It was a great opportunity for the ELC students to hear as not everyone was at the concert.

To end the service, one of the SK2 students prayed for everyone.
