Today’s ELC Chapel Service – May 22, 2026

This morning, the Toddler class led the ELC chapel service. After the pledges, Mrs. Michelle introduced a verse taken from Song of Solomon 2:4 which says, “He brought me to a banquet house and his banner over me was love.” The three songs that the children sang as part of musical worship reflected this verse. This included “His Banner Over Me”, “When I Look Up” and “Jesus’s Love Is Bubbling Over”. For each of these songs, some of the Toddlers danced at the front, waved flags or did energetic actions.

Mrs. Michelle’s message today was simple. She wanted the children to know that they are LOVED by God and they are protected and safe in God’s presence, just like having a banner consistently over them. She showed them this with four volunteers in four different scenarios – under a beautiful arch of balloons, at a “banquet table”, under the protection of an umbrella, and under a rainbow parachute. After her volunteers were seated, she waved a flag with a Bible verse (Malachi 4:6) on it. She explained that she was waving a flag of God’s love over them.

To conclude, Mrs. Michelle prayed and thanked God for His love and asked that He remind each of us that He loves us and keeps us safe.
