Last week, representatives from our Grade 6-8 classes formed our Wesley Wildfire Senior Track and Field team that competed at the ACSI event held in Etobicoke. It was a beautiful, sunny and hot day – perfect weather for such a competition.

The day was very busy with multiple events going on at the same time. Students had to watch, listen and pay attention to when and where their events were taking place.
On the field, students competed in a selection of events such as triple jump, long jump, discus, shot put, turbo javelin, and ball throw.

On the track, running races were held for 100 M heats and finals, 200 M, 400 M, 800 M, and 1500 M.

The day finished with the very exciting 4×100 M relay race. We had six teams train and compete for this event.

Thanks to the direction and leadership from our coaches – Ms. Hoover and Mr. Au, the support of many cheering Wesley parents, and the prayers from fellow students, parents and other supporters, we were blessed with a fun, memorable and exciting day that was captured in these photos. A HUGE shout out of appreciation go to Mr. Leung, Mr. Yu, Mr. Chan and other parents that contributed these precious moments for our community to enjoy.

Wesley Wildfire standings and results will be shared next week with the Wesley community at our final CRISP Awards presentation on Thursday.
