Our PK2 class had a wonderful time exploring the World of Farming!
With Thanksgiving being just around the corner, we thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for the children to explore a farm theme and make meaningful connections between Thanksgiving, harvest and the produce we enjoy daily.

Through engaging farm themed stories, the PK2 students learned what a farm is. They also had a chance to explore the important work farmers do and the many animals that live on a farm. The children engaged in fun and interactive activities such as guessing farm animal by listening to sound and figuring out riddles.
As well, the PK2s discovered mighty machines and equipment farmers use to help with their work.
Our farm theme learning was supplemented with catchy songs such as “Farmer In A Dell,” hands-on sensory and craft activities.
The children truly had many opportunities to explore, discover and learn about life on the farm.

As we prepare to celebrate Thanksgiving, PK2 students also had a chance to reflect on how we can thank God for the harvest and for the daily food He abundantly provides for us. The children created a special “Tree of Thanks” and shared what they are grateful for with their classmates. It was a beautiful opportunity to encourage thankful hearts and recognize the many blessings God has given us.

We are truly thankful for a wonderful week of learning, exploring and celebrating God’s abundant blessings.
“Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.” – Psalm 107:1
