This afternoon, our elementary division enjoyed an engaging presentation from Earth Rangers., which is “…the charity that transforms children’s concerns about the environment into positive action.” The students learned about different animals and their environments such as the river otter in wetlands, the bottlenose dolphin in their marine habitat, the caribou in the arctic and the jaguar in the rainforest.
Students also learned by playing fun guessing games, listening to interviews with scientists/ conservationists, and meeting “animal ambassadors”. Two such special guests included a yellow-footed tortoise and an armadillo!
At the end of the presentation, our Earth Ranger hosts reminded the students that they can help protect our environment and everyone can make a difference in our world. They ended the afternoon with a dance party to the song “Happy” by Pharrell Williams.
