Throughout term two, the grade ones have been learning about graphing in Math class. On Monday, April 13th, the grade ones were able to put their knowledge and skills to the test. Students were divided into groups of three to four students. Each group was given a chart paper, pictures of a variety of different types of animals, and the proper tools needed to complete their own pictograph.

Students were required to colour the pictures, label the graph, and organize the data correctly. Once the graph was finished, students were given questions to answer that reflected their understanding of the graph they had created. This was a fun learning experience where students not only practiced their graphing skills, but also demonstrated responsibility, cooperation, and respect for one another as they worked together to complete this group project.
