Three Wise Men and A Baby – Elementary Christmas Production

On Thursday, December 15th, our elementary school put on an AMAZING performance of Three Wise Men and a Baby at Toronto Christian Community Church. There were approximately 165 students in the production, including members in the cast, dance, troupe, choir and emcees. Although there were countless hours of practice after school since September, the students only practiced at the church on the day of the performance. Furthermore, several students fell ill at the last minute and one of our understudies had to perform. In addition, subtle changes and adjustments had to be made to account for the difference in the size of the stage and aisles but all the students adjusted quickly under the direction of Mrs. Vant Erve (cast), Mme. Hoover (cast), Miss Luk (dance troupe) and Miss Salazar (dance troupe) and put on a flawless show!

In addition to the performance, artwork and photos of our students were showcased. The highlight was at the end, when the three wise men not only presented their three gifts to the Christ child but their heart, love and worship. A carefully coordinated photo of all the elementary students in the shape of a heart emphasized our love for our Lord God – which is the greatest commandment and our verse theme this year. At the end of the performance, Mrs. Serio used the quote “Little is much when God is in it” to describe our performance and the offering of our meek hearts to Christ.

A special THANK YOU goes to Mrs. Vant Erve, Mme. Hoover, Mrs. Bolton, Miss Errington, Miss Phillips, Miss Wong, Miss Luk, Miss Salazar, Mrs. Yuen, Ms. Tsang, Ms. Tam, Mr. Bailey, Ms. Hoover and so many other members of our staff who devoted countless hours to the rehearsal, set up, and production of the show.
