PK2 led today’s ELC chapel service. After class representatives led the pledges, O Canada and The Lord’s Prayer, Mrs. Goco started the musical worship, beginning with a favourite – “Praise Ye the Lord – Hallelujah”. The second song was also very familiar to the audience – “When I look” by KidSpring Children’s Ministry – and the cafeteria filled with joyous singing and actions.

To bring an element of calm back to the children, Mrs. Goco played a prayer video. It paved the way for silence and focus, allowing Mrs. Goco to softly say a short prayer, asking God to provide the children with listening ears and teachable hearts.
Next, Mrs. Goco introduced a short science experiment. She had several volunteers go to the front to hold up old CD’s. After dimming the lights, she used a flashlight to shine a beam at the CDs. The audience started shouting, “Rainbow, rainbow!” They could see small refractions of light in various colours.

This was the perfect segue to introduce today’s story about Noah and the flood. Mrs. Goco showed a video and followed up with three important lessons from the rainbow that appeared at the end of the story:
- God keeps His promises – He will never flood the earth again.
- God is faithful and trustworthy.
- God doesn’t only judge. He extends mercy and grace.
To respond to this important message, the students sang “Rainbow” by Hillsong Kids and Mrs. Goco closed in prayer.
