Today’s ELC Chapel Service – April 12, 2024

The Toddler 2 class led this morning’s chapel service. After the pledges, Ms. Wu led the students in an energetic rendition of “One Way, Jesus!”. This was followed by a slower praise song, “Alive Forevermore”.

The Bible story was recounted by Mrs. S but the entire class was involved in the sharing of “Jonah and the Whale”. It was evident that a great deal of preparation and planning went into today’s story. A blue backdrop with paper fish and sea creatures had been hung at the back of the cafeteria wall. Each student had a prop to hold, be it paper fish or location signs (Nineveh or Tarshish). A large ship and whale was also used as props to support Mrs. S’s lively recount.

After the story, Ms. Wu led the students in singing “I Have Decided to Follow Jesus” and “Won’t Worry ‘Bout A Thing”. It was followed by a short video about Jonah to reinforce Mrs. S’s version and lesson to love and obey God. Mrs. S concluded the service in prayer, thanking God for the chance to worship and asking God to help the students obey Him, their teachers and their parents.
