Today’s ELC Chapel Service – May 30, 2025

In our ELC service, representatives from the Toddler class (with the help some SK students) led the pledges. Ms. Michelle then led the time of musical worship, singing three songs – “Thy Word”, “High and Low”, and “I’m in the Lord’s Army”.

Before she launched into her message, Ms. Michelle prayed, welcoming God to fill this place with joy and His presence and praying for help for our students to understand His word today. The focus of the message was on Psalm 119:105.

Ms. Michelle began by asking students whether they have used a flash light before. One student shared that he used one to find something under his bed. Ms. Michelle also mentioned that flash lights are often used during power outages. Then, she explained that the Word of God is like a flash light for our path in life. If we don’t use it, we will not know where to go. She emphasized this point with three volunteers. They could easily follow the green tape on the floor with their Bibles in hand. However, when blindfolded, they could not see the way. When the blinders were removed, they were able to get to the end and open up their Bibles to find messages such as “Jesus is my special friend”, ” God made me special”, and “God made us”. A musical video was shown to reinforce today’s lesson.

Then, Miss Law closed in prayer. She asked the students to pray along with her, asking God to light the way that He would like us to go and to help us continue the day with love and kindness.
