Wacky Wesley Day 2026 – Earth Day Theme

Once a year, on a Wednesday, we have a non-uniform dress-up day when students and teachers wear outfits or costumes according to a special “wacky” theme. This year, the theme was  “Earth Day”, as our event fell on the same day, Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

Students and staff came dressed as anything in nature. Everyone had fun with the theme. Some kept it simple by sporting a floral scarf , wearing a blue shirt to represent the sky, or bringing a special stuffed animal to accompany their outfit. Others took the opportunity to show their creativity with homemade costumes and accessories. Some examples included recycle bins, flowers, the ocean, rainbows, birds, butterflies, a drop of water, the globe, and even an orange slice !

A few students even came up with a group theme while a few teachers teamed up as duos.

Teachers also incorporated some specific Earth Day activities into their classrooms to mark this very important annual global event that promotes environmental awareness, sustainability, and protection. Some had special colouring sheets, discussions or even chose to turn off the lights for part of their class or snack time.
