Today was Cultural Day at Wesley. Students and teachers dressed in special clothing that reflect their cultural heritage.
During second period, the entire school (except for the Grade 8s who are on their grad trip in Ottawa) filed into the gym for a parade so everyone could see each other’s attire.
Older students waved to the ELC children as they walked by, encouraging them with high fives, fist pumps, and thumbs up gestures.
Those who had school lunch today had a special cultural day meal. Mr. Schmidt and the kitchen team served chicken vegetable fried rice and West Indian patties. Partaking in different cultural food is one way to remember this special shared experience.
