WCA Teachers vs. Senior Boys Volleyball Team

On Wednesday afternoon, at the invitation of Ms. Hoover, the senior boys volleyball team coach, a group of elementary teachers played a friendly match against the senior boys team. The grade 7 & 8 boys were excited and you could feel their energy from the outset.

This adrenaline helped them lead most of the first game until the teachers, who had never practiced or played together before, got into their grove. At the end, the teachers squeaked out a 26-24 victory.

This did not deter the boys. They were persistent and encouraged each other with every play. They were focused and didn’t even notice the After School Care Program students on the second floor watching through the windows into the gym. Nevertheless, the teachers won again in the second game, 25-13.

In the final game of the match, the senior boys played hard. Despite cheering from teachers and parents on the sidelines, the third game was close but not enough to steal at least one victory. The teachers won again, 25-23.

All in all, everyone had fun and this was great preparation for their upcoming ACSI Senior Boys Volleyball Tournament next week. Good luck, Wesley Wildfire!
