This week, students in Grades 3-8 participated in various track and field events. For the most part, the weather cooperated and trials were held over a number of days. Every elementary student in Grades 3-8 had to sign up for at least three events. Some even made “on the spot” decisions once they saw how exciting one of those activities could be!
Students participated in events such as the softball throw, broad jump, triple jump, long jump, various running races, javelin, shot-put and discus.
As you can see, the students did their best and had lots of fun at the same time. It was a great opportunity for everyone to get out and try/ practice some of these activities. Some were pleasantly surprised how well they did! It was definitely a great way for our track & field coaches to spot potential members for our upcoming junior and senior teams that will compete in the ACSI event at the end of the month!
